  This is arguably THE best interpretive Museum we have ever visited. It is free entry, and the interpretation is stunning - informative, interesting and interactive. It is simply brilliant. We spent hours there are could have stayed even longer.

  I must say this place is well worth the visit. The exhibit is very interactive but simple and easy to take in. Colorful displays with modern audio, video, and lights make it fun for kids and a great place to learn about the origins of Vikings and their lives from the 10th century. A great gift shop too!

  Free entrance and pretty good collection. Had it cost money, the score might have gone down to 4 stars, but it doesn't cost anything. It's definitely worth a look.

  This museum of Danish kings and early Danish life is surprisingly high tech and beautiful. The visuals are multimedia, dark and stunning. Sit a few minutes by the north wall and let the royal chronology unfold in front of you. King murdered by brother. New king murdered by cousin. As time unfolds the kingly names become superimposed by a skull with an axe thru the brain. The english narration flows nicely. Jelling and the museum are a must-see for visitors to Denmark.

  Wonderful new museum besides the "birth certificate of Denmark". Makes you wonder what society looked like in the old days. My 11y old son couldn't get enough of it so we went twice in a week.

  This is so cleverly done. They don't have many artefacts but what they have is so brilliantly explained you don't notice. Staff are super friendly and helpful. There is great food at the pub just up the road but the cafe in the museum is nice mid morning. Well worth it's trip advisor billing and a definite must see, adults or kids.

  Amazing. With all the virtual reality tools, simulations, animations, holograms this hits the top of interactivity list for kids of all age. Modern concept and great descriptions guide you through the local Viking age in great detail. On top of it is it free (no idea why), but am not complaining!

  The layout of the information and exhibits is simple, immersive and highly effective. Incredibly well thought out and planned meticulously, the exhibits focus on archaeological conjecture rather than historical fact.
  The technology employed is also highly effective and quite entertaining.
  With occasional historical re-enactment and free entry, I'm finding it difficult to think of a better museum to learn about The birthplace of modern Denmark.

  Great museum using the best of modern technology to make the experience of Viking history come alive. Interactivity kept the kids engaged. Being able to walk the original grounds is great too.

  If in Denmark, especially if you are at Legoland, I highly suggest the side trek to Jelling. Superb museum, and outstanding outdoor exhibits.
