The "Paradise Valley" is just so beautiful. You most go there after visiting Hammershus. Close to Hammershus you walk down hill and meet a small trail that passes through the Paradise Valley. One of the most beautiful walks on Bornholm in a small rock valley with rippling spring and birdsong. Meditation is obvious while we walk here.

Not only is this a fantatic historical place to visit. The surrounding nature, sea views and walks are great on a nice day. Highly recommended!

We walked to Hammershus from Hammerhavn which was a nice walk with a fantastic view. View is, if possible, even better from Hammershus and the ruins are amazing to see. You can find info in some places but I would recommend reading about this fascinating place prior to your visit.

First up, the view across the open ocean from the ruins is epic. Next, there are good info boards about the history of the place. Finally, there are great hiking routes around the area. Also, the ice cream is good. I recommend walking to the nearby harbour town and getting an ice cream while watching the boats. Peace out.

I've seen better castle ruins but it was pretty cool. The views from the castle grounds were so much better than the actual castle though.

to be honest I was completely knackered when I got here, so had a reflective pause in the lovely tea rooms. It was a hot day (really hot, in Denmark, what is the world coming to!) so I was very glad to be able to sit down, charge my phone and have afternoon tea

A fantastic place, open and well kept. The on-site information is limited in English and German, but the place is building a brand new visitor centre.
