Meltingly delicious Smorrebrod in town. I try Tatar which made from friskhakket oksekod with pepper, pickles, special egg sauce Yummy😋

Oh my days the smørrebrød were divine. The delicious rye bread was only just about able to support the burgeoning and very tasty toppings. There's a really nice selection from egg & prawn, meatball, chicken and many other things. Really recommended if you're passing by.

It was good to have my first Smorrebrod but its taste was somewhat disappointing. They have many different smorrebrod so it could be a good place for travelers like me to try Danish food.

Hallernes is the perfect place to try smørrebrød! There are so many options, there's something for everyone. There's a display case so that you can easily pick what you want. We got the chicken salad, the shrimp with hard boiled eggs, and the roast beef. The roast beef was absolutely delicious. The shrimp was also pretty good, but I wasn't a huge fan of the chicken salad. It didn't have much flavor. The market it's in is definitely a good place to check out. We could have eaten all of our meals there — there's such a large variety of cuisines to choose from.

The fish fillet Smørrebrød was amazing (to an untrained mouth like mine, trying it for the first time, at least). The personnel was nice and patient, even if there was quite a line.

When visiting Denmark you must try the Smørrebrød and you understand why it is such a popular dish. There is a wide range of quality and type that you can find all over in Copenhagen but Hallernes Smørrebrød in the Torvehallerne market is a top notch choice. There is a great variety offered here with creative ingredients in their toppings. You could easily have multiple meals here (or ideally get several and share with family or friends) and experience a wide range of tastes and flavors all on top of a piece of nice dark bread. Must visit if you are in the Torvehallerne! The staff here are very friendly and prices for the amount you get are very reasonable. There is limited seating in their area but you can get it for take away and sit in some of the open seating areas outside the market.

Delicious smørrebrød. Not too crowded for being lunchtime on a Saturday. The beef tartare with a side of raw egg was both beautiful and delicious. The only downside is that it's a bit expensive, but that's just part and parcel of everything in the marketplace.

Saw a long queue and decide to join in the fun! Clearly very popular with both visitors and locals alike. I tried the fish cake and fried fish. Unfortunately, although pleasant, I wasn't sure it was worth all that fuss. The fried fish was quite fried and given that it was served cold, it was rather dry and pasty in texture. The fish cake wasn't all too flavourful.
Pleasant, and generally OK, but can't say it was particularly great.response / report this review
