Very central location means it's popular with tourists and it appears the prices are adjusted to match. The high prices (especially for drinks, no tap water either) don't marry with the quality and left me disappointed. Perhaps this is due to an abundance of cheap high quality Indian restaurants in my native UK, as I'm sure this place is good by Danish standards. Unfortunately I can't recommend it and will not be returning.

Went with my family. They made us wait for ten minutes when the restaurant was clearly empty. The waitress was very rude, we kept calling them to order and none of them responded. Waited for at least thirty minutes for someone to come get our order but no one even bothered to come to our table. When the waitress saw us leave, she didn't have any interest. Overall, it is the worst restaurant my family and i have ever visited. Very rude.

The food is alright, nothing special. Cutlery was dirty, no tap water only expensive bottles, long wait time for food and even just to get the bill despite coming during a quiet time. On top of that it is way too expensive, even for Copenhagen. Come on 45 DKK for a piece of bread, rice not even included with the curries that are already very pricey, and selling water for more than certain restaurants charge for alcoholic beverages, this is ridiculous.

I don't know why this place is rated so low. The food is really good. Not oily at all. The wait staff were friendly, not over the top but professional. The masala chai was exactly how my Indian friends make it for me. It's reasonable especially for Denmark and it's great for date night or chilling with friends

Very disappointed with the service and the food considering the other great reviews. The lady who seated us and took our order was extremely uninterested in questions we had regarding the food. I didn't know what was nice and wanted a recommendation and what I got was the least excited I've ever seen anyone be about their own food. She couldn't care less. My friend is vegan and the lady refused to get that there could be no butter in her food and kept insisting "a little bit, just a little bit" for the flavour. When she finally seemed to have got it and we got the food there was clearly butter in her food as it made my friend very sick. Also their bottled water tasted absolutely rotten and I couldn't drink it so asked for tap water and was reluctantly given it being told they don't usually serve tap water. A very bad experience on our last night in Copenhagen.

Food is really good and good quality. But hot as hell. We ordered all 4 dishes MILD. And the all came hot hot hot. Way to hot especially for a mild version. We're ALL burning

Taking the family to Guru can only be described as the ultimate dining experience. The food is absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared and served, and the staff are helpful, polite, and know their dishes. The atmosphere is amazing, and we look forward to going there as a family event every time.

The Best Indian Restaurant in Copenhagen. Possibly the best Indian restaurant in Scandinavia. This is the go to place for our special occasions when in Copenhagen. You get what you pay for an incredible service and incredible food. 5/5

As a Brit living in Copenhagen, finding truly great Indian food is very important! We ordered the banquet for 2 (home delivery) and it was absolutely delicious. Care and attention had been taken to provide all the right pickles and accompaniments, and I think we got 4 (fairly greedy) meals' worth from the banquet! I can't wait to eat there again.
