Great bar and breakfast. Hotel has a lot of character. Rooms are well appointed but could use a little updating while not losing the classic charm. Overall a great place to stay.

There is something about this hotel, especially the building as such. The rooms need maintenance and upgrade to match the hotel's rating. Last year the building was nicely restored. Hopefully the rooms will follow soon.

For an Odense visit you won't find a better location. As a hotel I would give it three stars but the historic buildings with a touch of decayed elegance gives the fourth.

Big rooms and beds that would make even an American satisfied.

Very fast unsecured Internet, good choice of breakfast, helpful staff and the barman Kris is a pro who makes the best Amaretto Sours and is great for a chat on a cold evening

The hotel has a very central location in Odense, and the service from the people working here is very good. The finish and cleaning in the bathroom is not at top, however. And now in the holiday season sooner facilities like the pub is closed.

Beautiful, cozy, charming. The moment you enter the First Hotel Grand, it's like you've stepped into another world. Elegance and an old-fashioned charm enchant guests from start to finish of their visit. The personnel has always been friendly and the management is the best in Odense. I would give anything to stay a night here.
