I imported a classic car and tried taking it here but they were super busy (obviously a popular spot) and they didn't want to take the time to take a look. Told me to get a 'dataeklaring', which could take weeks, so I called a place they suggested but meanwhile I left for another bilsyn center to try my luck. When I got to the new bilsyn center, the dataeklaring office called back and informed me that NO DATAEKLARING IS NEEDED FOR A CLASSIC CAR, at least not for one as old as mine. This is exactly what SKAT told me and what it says on the SKAT website. The second bilsyn center gave me a pass straight away. To my mind, an inspection center should know the rules of the game in their line of business. Seems like these guys didn't know anything about classic cars, so I strongly recommend NOT GOING HERE if you have a classic car import. Otherwise I am sure they are fine and they did help me clarify the fact that they were completely incorrect about my situation—thus the 2 stars.
