Rigtig hyggeligt sted. Spændende udstillinger for både børn og voksne. En fantastisk urtehave hvor det er sjovt at gå på opdagelse og smage og dufte til de mange urter.

Godt, klassisk museum og gode udendørsarealer. Bedst at besøge i godt vejr for at få fuldt udbytte

Coming to Gammel Estrup was very emotional - being surrounded by my family history. The transformation from when I came the first time is enormous. Wonderful welcoming staff and the Director personally took us round.

An excellent day out, with lots to interest the parents and plenty for the kids to do across the whole site. I'll visit again. The only very minor downside was the guy in the Blacksmith Shop, who seemed to think it was OK to put necklaces on young girls and only then tell their parents that the necklace will cost them! They may be unpaid volunteers, but that is a bad strategy. You may also want to review the Health and Safety in the Blacksmiths (no eye protection considered, even when being shown the furnace and hammering semi-molten metal - sparks flying everywhere).

Nice castle and agriculture exhibits, plus a collection of 250 Danish apple sorts. Go in fall.
