I am using a private email, that does not involve my actual name, because i already know, I would be forced to remove the post. Like how previous students were. You may not see so many bad/true reviews on this school, mainly because of what I have stated before, they were forced to be removed.
This school is not only useless, but horribly run. Students pay $20,000 (more or less, depending on grade), to go to a school that not only teaches poorly, but treats the students with no respect nor compassion. Within a couple weeks of the school being open and built, the sinks quit working, the mirrors broke (due to poorly inserted sink handles) and streets signs were already broken. Don't forget about the fantastic view of rotting storage containers!! wonderful.
many students, and parents, have expressed their concern and dislike for some of the many things the school is doing poorly, but the school is simply too BROKE to do anything about it. As stated in one of the reviews before, the school is letting go of some of the best teachers, not only in high school, but also middle school. Meanwhile many of the primary school teachers were left untouched. this worried many students and parents, because high school, is a prime moment in any child's life, and such big changes to the teachers, can be very stressful and difficult for any student.
The location is very poor, because the second you arrive, it is windy, wet and cold, almost all the time! Before this Nordhavn campus, the high school was located in Østerbro, and middle school/ primary school's campus was located in Hellerup. In the many, many, many years the school was running, there was no big car crash, no bike incidents and no danger to be seen. But in the past year this school in Nordhavn has been up. there have been at least 3 accidents that have occurred near the school. Exposing the children to such things, brings horror to my eyes. But of course, the school won't speak out about it, since "it wasn't on school campus" Lets be honest, most of the schools campus is only where the building is. Where the structure ends, so does the contract with Copenhagen, meaning most of the ground around the school, is city grounds.
This review is not to throw negativity and hate on the school, simply stating facts and opinions about how the school is ran. Because after all, this school teaches us to share opinions and have a say in things right?response / report this review -

This school looks nice and has a few good teachers but the positives end there the classrooms are usually packed full of kids many of the teachers are completely useless and have no interest in helping anyone learn the lights of the school randomly flicker. If I had to describe the school in one word it would be disorganised. The teachers have been given new laptops and new smart boards and have no idea how to use them. The food is awful the restaurant pretends to be fancy and sells vegan food the simply cooking neglects to remember they are serving food for a low quality school not a hippie restaurant in Canada. They sell glass bottled drinks, bad idea.
Just a note
There are many fake reviews made by the staff here just look for the accounts with only 1 Google review and 5 star rating
I have also heard some students have been forced to post positive reviews about the school or they would get their grades lowered.
Recently (Nov 15th 2017) the school has had to fire some teachers due to severe budget cuts one of the best teachers in the school has been fired while leaving some of the worst teachers employed this has caused over 30 students to protest outside of the school.response / report this review -

This school is the worst the students are extremely stressed. Never have i heard other students say "i want to kill my self" so often in the school corridor. The school has no other goal than to get the highest average marks to make cis look like a good school on paper. In reality the school only gets average marks while stressing out many of the students to the point of suicidal thoughts. This school sickens me do not send your children here unless you want the suicidal shell of a human.

I think this is a very good school because, first of all, the campus is beautiful and huge, with enough space for all the students. Second, the IB system is very helpful and easy to understand. I have been at this school for over four years and have learned a lot. The teachers are usually friendly, even through some of them can be quite rude. Something that I do not like about this school is the fact that there are no micro waves. I assume this is because they want more students to buy lunch. Also, it is really unfair that the teachers are allowed to use the Elevator and we can not. But overall, my experience at cis has been very good and I would suggest this school to others.

This place is the best you will find in copenhagen that doesnt mean its good most of the teachers are ok but a load of students hacked the lights and sound system and the english teacher is useless

CIS Rocks! An amazing building housing an even better school. Absolutely best location for a school ever, surrounded by calming water and a view of Sweden. This architectural dream houses an amazing international school, with an incredible staff who nurture and care for students and their parents :) in every way. I have heard many parents say that they wished they could go back to school here. I volunteer in CIS and there are days I don't want to go home as every one from the maintenance staff, teachers, administrators, the director and the students are so welcoming and friendly. We are coming up to the end of our first year at CIS and couldn't be happier with it. So, if you are looking at schools in Copenhagen look no further. You have just found the best one.

Part 2 Of my other review :/
In this mini-review I also want to say the extreme negatives of this school.
1. The Price.
If you didn't know, this school is INCREDIBLY expensive.
First, you start off with an application fee of 2,500Kr, which is literally enough to buy a Playstation 4 bundled with a game.
Then it continues with a registration fee of 25,000Kr, which is also, literally enough to buy 2-3 pairs of Louis Vuitton "Prime Ankle Boots"
There is also an administration fee of 2000Kr.
Then it gets real.
For the final High School grades (11-12),
You will have to give a grand total of
160,000Kr
Enough to buy:
2,222 Packs of frozen meatballs.
Around 100 Tattoos.
A Honda Civic
Around 2000 Cans of "Unicorn Meat"
And Myself.
Oh wait! Does your child need intensive special care?
Well, that's gonna cost you an extra 225,000Kr! Yay!
With that, you could go on 3, 7-Day Family Cruises (2 Adults, 2 Kids) On Disney Magic (A Ship) With each member sleeping in a Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Veranda.
Basically, it's a lot of money.
2. The unfinished-ness
Simply, the school is unfinished, the ceilings are unfinished, the heating doesn't work, and neither do the lights.
That's basically it.
This was mostly about the price, but I felt like it so you know, I'm gonna do it.

CIS is a good school but some things to say. Number 1 is that the design is very poor, makes it look like they were lazy and placed it all over the place. Number 2 is the curriculum. As stated before, if your child hasn't been in an IB school, it will be very hard. If you like all of the above then go for it. Last but not least, THE AMOUNT OF STAIRS!! You have to go up a daily average of 248 steps (well for me anyway/ compulsory). Here's a scenario of what it is for me on a daily basis: I have science on the second floor, Individuals and Societies on the 4th floor, PE on the -1 floor, lunch on the first floor and math on the 4th floor. There is 19 stairs per each part of the groups of stairs. If we do the math, thats around 251 stairs..in ONE school day. That's a lot in one school day. But overall its a great school probably one of the best in Copenhagen, but has some disadvantages that may need improving to make it a one of the best schools in the world..

I think this school is okay, but does need quite a few improvements. First of all, as much other students have said, there are way too many stairs. It's annoying to have to walk up so many stairs and that the teachers can go on the elevator. Secondly, the IB school thingy is really confusing and they make this school way to complicated. Third, I live in the Nordhavn apartments and it's hard to get to school every day. There isn't a clear path to the school because of construction. Finally, I don't like how everyone is all cramped inside one building because I just don't like it.

I advise not going to this school unless your child has been in an IB-Myp program their whole life, new campus is also a pain and includes a lot of stairs. 7 flights, and children have to go up each one (depending on grade level). The teaching program is also very difficult. I dont reccomend this school. location is also very isolated from stores, apartments town etc. (takes about 20-25 minutes walk to nearest train station, store and 7/11) and how you get to school is usually very dangerous.

I love CIS because it has a nice homely feeling and everyone is very friendly there. The new campus is great because all years are there and it's also very big and has more than enough space. The classes are also great and the way we learn there makes it fun and intriguing. Overall, my CIS experience so far has been great.
