I was there with my extended family for lunch on Jul 7th, 2017. Good genuine food, but the wait staff was borderline rude to us after they served us food we had not ordered, and we asked them to correct their mistake. After this incident we were mostly ignored for the rest of our lunch. Sorgenfri is a misnomer for sure..

Not foreign-friendly. They serve good Danish food but the regular waiter is a racist in the closet! I used to take my guests there until one day I took my turkish friends there. I chose specifically 14.00 so we wouldn't be there for rush hour, yet the waiter ignored the fact we were there for 10 min, then when he approached and we asked questions about the menu, he was very rude to my friends, talking down to them and when I told him in Danish that he could speak a little nicer to them, he asked us to leave, complaining that it was hard enough to wait all the tables alone. But honestly? We were only 3 people plus 2 swedes at the next table And no matter how stressful the days is, I don't think taking it out on the customers is right! What a pity So if you are foreigner, don't expect any kindness, just good danish food with danish service attitude!

Charming in it's simplicity and authenticity. Excellent food in an environment that takes you back a century.

Traditional Danish open' Sandwiches on rye bread. Order "flaeskesteg" roast pork with crackling served with pickled red cabbage. By far the best place in town for lunch.
