Such a lovely hotel, loved absolutely everything about it!
The rooms were small but cozy and beautifully designed with great thoughtfulness. I was pleasantly surprised to find a bamboo toothbrush and toothpaste tablets in the bathroom. The interior has a relaxing Indonesian feel, which is especially lovely on those cold rainy days in Denmark. The staff was really friendly and positive. Great location too.
An amazing eco-friendly hotel in the heart of Copenhagen.

Very elegant hotel, well located. Friendly staff, clean and spacious room. Loved the outdoor space. I will certainly stay here again and even consider this brand in other cities when available.

No tea or coffee making facilities in bedroom (don't know if this is normal in Denmark) and I don't particularly care for the typical Danish breakfast that seems to consist largely of cold meats. Room size ok but not over-generous. Helpful staff and good decor.

The rooms and bathroom were very clean which I really liked. They also had a very nice theme to them, as you can see in the photos they were very well decorated and included many amenities. The bathroom was also very nice and the shower had a variety of hair and body products which was very nice. The room was also very quiet despite being on the first floor, the windows had multiple panes which definitely helped. My room was in the older building if the hotel but if was very nice and did not feel old at all.
I also appreciated the fact that they were so environmentally friendly. This was true of the towels and body products and in general everything they sold at the hotel from their food to their clothes.
The breakfast was definitely above average and very good too. (Although it's not included with your room)
My biggest complaint was the fact that they had two different check in desks and entrances. This made things very confusing, especially since you were allowed to enter from one of the doors and when entering from the other you we're greeted by the check in staff who told you to go all the way around to the other door and enter through there. This is despite having checked in already and the fact that that door was in the old building and as a result closer to my room.
The staff were otherwise professional though and good at their job. Although the check in situation and the two door things was really bothersome and irritating.

Very pleasant hotel with a focus on sustainability that makes it feel much more special. The decor is wonderful and the location is very good, room was very pokey and small though which was a shame, and it's not terribly cheap.

I *love* this hotel. Everything about it is fantastic. An ethical organic ethos that runs throughout the hotel in everything they do. Absolutely lovely staff who are genuine, friendly and so helpful. Love the staff, love the food and love the rooms. I'll definitely be back here.

Very cool atmosphere - some hidden gems, but some drawbacks. AWESOME spa! ^_^ Very eco-friendly! No air conditioning (was informed at reservation), but great breeze with windows open creates a romantic setting. Mattress a little rough for me (much too soft/no support).

Travelled with our dog and they couldn't have been more thoughtful or welcoming. The area can get a little sketchy so this is good to be aware of, this isn't the hotels fault but it's something to consider. During the day it's no problem. The hotel is about 10 mins from the meat packing district, some great places to eat casually.

We stayed overnight in this hotel. Behind a very classic facade the atmosphere of a safari lodge has been created. The whole experience was amazing. The room was very comfortable; the breakfast buffet in the garden was truly perfect. Staff was efficient, informal and very friendly.

Beautiful hotel in a great location near the central train station and perfectly located for sightseeing. Rooms are small but we didn't need any more space, and felt the decor more than made up for it. Staff were friendly and helpful - couldn't fault anything at all!

Great food. Great service. Great spa. Great ambience. The eco products they provide are outstanding. This is the perfect retreat for body and mind. It perfectly emulates everything Danish society is aspiring to be. A hyper aware hotel that sets high standards and then focuses on the extras that really makes your stay exemplary. Though I've been a fanatic of Airbnb since its inception, I'm planning a trip to Oslo simply to enjoy a stay in their hotel there. It was a perfect hotel experience.

A beautifully created sanctuary in a wonderful city. Our stay at Axel was perfect, the staff were very welcoming and helpful. The room [junior suite] was perfect, with everything from a mac computer, to a bathtub at the end of the bed! The bed itself was delightful, a little soft for myself but still really lovely. Amazing power shower and the breakfast was superb. The spa [not included in room rate] is well worth the additional cost, small but perfectly formed and a total sanctuary to relax in the sauna, steam room or hot tub with free mud masks and relaxation area. The only negative was that we requested some prosecco for our arrival as it was a celebratory visit, and the prosecco was never seen [but we weren't charged] and we didn't mind too much as we had some gin with us anyway. I would highly reccommend staying at this hotel.
