Great place for a quick bite. The staff is nice and the they have tasking menus for the open sandwiches and snaps. If you are hungry order at least 3 pieces. Prices are fair for the quality of the ingredients.

We first ordered the warm smørrebrød that’s only served in house (105 kr). Upon ordering, we were told that they normally recommend 3 per person. We insisted on sharing the one. We also ordered two coffees (35 kr per person). The server brought the coffee out with her finger down the cup. We asked for milk. Nothing.

Then the server asked if we would like to order more. I misheard her, thinking she was asking if we’re okay. I said yes and she immediately brightened up. I ordered the tasting menu and from there on the service improved greatly. We were offered coffee refills and the milk finally came. Not sure if I’d recommend. The food was “good”, but not worth the detour, personally.

A little expensive but good quality open face sandwiches. Need at least 3 to make a real meal, so you're looking at 185+ kr without drinks. Homemade Snaps (i.e. schnapps) was potent. Gets very busy at lunch, even a weekday.

Tried the 4-sandwhich sampler with house brew Indian Pale Ale. The taste is amazing, and definitely will come back again. The sataff are very helpful and attentive. Just wonderful experience.

Very excellent smorrebrod, but definitely not cheap. Take one for a fast and light lunch, the two portion suggested are only if you're very hungry. Tasty and delightful

This is where i learned to love pickled herring. It was just delicious along with their potato salad and washed down with a beer. A must try when in Copenhagen!

Mixed experience. The smørerbrød and snaps is very good. But the portions were so small when we ordered shares platters for a company of six, that it was embarrassingly nitty gritty to divide the portions between us. All of us were hungry when we left.

Might just be the best traditional smoerrebroed restaurant/deli in the capital. When in Copenhagen, go all in and order Smoerrebroed with beer and snaps. Enjoy!
