Beautiful place for visit
One of the great wonders of the world. Curative salt and water
Situated at a distance at a remote place about 115 km from the capital Djibouti city. This is the lowest point in Africa, second lowest in the world. Temperature may go up to 45 degree or even more in June to August. Very warm weather conditions prevails during this season. Being salt lake you may feel much thirsty and humid. Best season to visit is from November to February. Don't forget to carry enough water and food. No food, no shops, no restaurants nothing at all available around there. Still a good place to visit for its natural beauty and salt density. Its a geographical wonder. If you are in Djibouti you should visit this place at least once. Nice location for photography. There is a nice view point on the way to the lake. If you are a nature lover and interested in geography you will definitely like this place how such an isolated place provides nice experience and one of the rarest scenes on earth. Problem is that since Djibouti is very poor country they are not really able to attract tourists to this wonderful place. It is such a remote place. There is nothing on the way from the city to this place apart from couple of view points. If you want to visit this place, you should arrange your own vehicle. No public transport system or taxi goes to this place.
