Small zoo. As always good to spend time with the animals but you cannot expect to see anything unusual or new. Cannot be attracted much by architecture either.

Pretty good zoo, but I do come from the city with the world's best zoo so I'm a bit hard to please when it comes to visiting zoos!!! All in all, the zoo is quite nice considering that it is one of the second oldest zoo in Germany and one of the oldest zoos in the world while being smack dab in the middle of a large city.

Would be extra star to 4 if better weather and warmer most animals stay in enclosures due cold weather. Zoo layout is alright and easy to explore

Zoo was almost completely empty of people so recommend going midweek too. The place is large with a variety of animals. It's currently undergoing renovations so some exhibits were not accessible. Worth a visit!

Zoo with a small sealife inside. The prices are very less if you have the tourist card. The display of animals is very good. There are more indoor displays of animals.

This is not a place for animals to be held! Just look at the Lions. Their cage is so small that they don't do anything but lying on the ground the whole day!
Please just release those animals to their natural habitat because this is not how to treat animals!

I was there with kids, and we had a great time. There is no elefant, but still a few goats for cuddling. Very good monkey area and birds cages!

Localized in the middle of Frankfurt. Very easy reach. There are two train stations, one in the entrance, the other in the exit.
The tour takes around 3 hors.
The climax is the apes section.

If it's a cold day you have the chance to see the animals in their internal enclosures with gives you the opportunity to have an Hippo or a Rhino very closely! Overall animals habitats are well designed giving them good space to live! Compared to other zoos in Europe this is a bargain! Need about three hours to walk trough it.
