Excellent hotel. Location was perfect! On the Marktplatz and next to the rathaus. Staff was very friendly. Room was nice; clean, updated, and a good size. Breakfast was fantastic. And the sauna was wonderful. Highly recommend.

Great, quiet location at the better end of the pedestrian zone, next to the charming main square, and a short 5 minute walk from the narrow guage railway to the Brocken. The restaurant is exceptional

An absolutely lovely hotel in the middle of town. Just down the street from the Rathaus and main square and centered on the main shopping street of a charming town.

Lovely public spaces in the lobby and restaurant. Extremely friendly and courteous service with a helpful staff that has a better command of English than I do of German.

Well appointed rooms with modern European furnishings and amenities. You must remember to NOT compare rooms and features with the typical large and sometimes overwhelming American room - no big screen TV, no clock radio on the bedstand, no 23 pillows on the bed. But you know - still very comfortable and certainly cozier and warmer. And all that other stuff - not missed.

Small spa and fitness center - pool, whirlpool, three different saunas, each raising the temperature and sweat factor. Full service spa - just wish I had time to take advantage. Compact but well equipped fitness room.

Great staff - always smiling and ready to handle any request. And sensitive to the needs of an international guest whether from the US, Canada, Korea or China.

And a note - if you are planning on visiting the area and staying here or other hotels in town, just check to make sure it is not during one of the major trade fairs at the Hannover Messe Fairgrounds - even though far the hotels will fill up with guests from all over.

Wunderschön renoviertes, altes Hotel mitten in der Altstadt von Wernigerode. Wir hatten ein sehr schönes Zimmer auf 2 ,Ebenen das Ftühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Freundliches, nettes Personal. Wir kommen wieder.

This was a nicer hotel than any other we stayed in in Europe! Gorgeous building, quiet, super nice rooms and restaraunt. It was lovely all the way around. 100m from the town market, so we went to the Christmas market!
