4 stars mainly based on price and value. As a 4 Star hotel it means you get the privilege to pay for Internet $10, parking $7, breakfast $11, and sauna. The room has ac, but it doesn't work well in either of our two rooms. Even cool outside it couldn't cool our rooms after 2 hours. Eventually gave up and opened windows, but fair amount of noise from the street and bugs because no screens on Windows. Our room was missing the fridge. Beds are on the firm side. Bathrooms are nicely renovated with lots of counter space.
The staff was polite and spoke a little bit of English. Was enough to get by. They were patient and never acted irritated when dealing with our language issues.
Area around the hotel is a mixture of run down abandon buildings and newly renovated structures.response / report this review -

Wonderful. Cheap, nice and happy friendly staff. Free parking. And while you are in Gera, don't forget to try their beer - Köstritzer. Just unbelivible.
