#Stabi Unter den Linden Berlin, rare books/music section just afforded me a nasty experience! I wanted to use my waiting time nicely by studying printed manuscript of Winterreise and was very rudely and abusively talked to by personal because she couldn't remember having seen me there (even though i have spoken to her about books I needed many times). It was like a criminal investigation!! Had to leave feeling sad and shaken. Definitely not the library experience you expect as a researcher 😰

The place to study and learn. Due to the annual fee you have to pay to use it (30e for a year) it's free of annoying teens. The opening times could be longer.

Fantastic, quiet, beautifuol - very helpful staff, 3 for 3 days with a free membership (Start for Stabi). Wonderful, no complaints for my first archive expereince.
