In the middle of the town, it looks good but nothing special. 9.5 euro to get in

Excellent example of romantic 19th century castle and interior design. Also has a rooms and collections from a variety of time periods. The castle itself is especially beautiful from the outside, situated in a cliff above the Danube.

The only way to visit the interior of the castle is to join the German speaking tour. Fortunately, the receptionist had detailed written guides in English, but we still had to be part of the tour. The interior of the castle is immaculately maintained and spans the whole history of the Royal family up to the present day. We paid €25 for a family of 5. Ask for a family ticket.

Maybe the outside is not that spectacular but the tour and the interior is the best of any I ever seen. The inside is perfectly kept, the tour is great and the armory hall is a must - the biggest medieval weapons collection in Europe.

Only way to see this castle is through a tour guide. Ours was spectacular. Although English was not his mother tongue and struggled at times, he excelled in explaining the intricacies and stories contained within the castle walls. Definitely worth a visit and the travel over from nearby towns.

Massive castle and very historical tour. The armoury was impressive. But I would have liked to have seen more of this huge castle and grounds.

Beautiful castle and nice tour. As above, no photos allowed (they allow photos in the courtyard and outside areas). The guides mainly speak German but will do their best to translate (my friends w/ me helped out). They also provide an English translation in a small booklet. Very nice tour and my guide was happy to answer questions.
