Very beautiful grounds, take the time to explore the garden. We hiked past the castle and were rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the area.
Enjoyed this castle. Rooms set up to see them as they were. Ask at the gate house to borrow a English guide book. No English translation in the castle. Don't forget to go up the tower view is stunning.
Very romantic castle built in the 1800s by a Bankier. Great views over Bonn and river Rhine. Includes a museum, cafe and restaurant. You can drive up the hill in a historic small electric train.
It's an awesome overated modern castle :-), and it is shame that there no information inside the castle in English. A bit annoying to walk up there and to find out you should have "rented" a booklet in English. The tram ride could be fun though. The castle does not worth it, but the view is pretty nice.
This is such a great place. Make sure to book the tour so you get to of this little palace than is publicly available. Combine this with a quick trip all the way up the mountain using the train to see the ruins of the original castle as well. Walk around the small garden of the palace to enjoy a great view of the Rhine River as well.
Very beautiful region with stunning views. Be sure to walk to Drachenfels, which is very near and has great views along the way.
Nice forest to walk through, but I am disappointed the castle gates are only open on the weekend. There is a christmas market within the castle walls the weekend days it is open. Quite a steep hill to walk up, but better than paying to take the train up the hill. There is a different path down the hill you can take.
Stunning palace with very nice views. A lot of rooms to go to and see. Nice parks to sit and enjoy the view too.
Well, it's a small castle but you can have quite a good view on the roof of the building. The building itself is so so. Oh yes, there is a tram that takes visitors to the castle and the top of the hill.
It's big and impressive but it can't really justify its price of entrance. Worth a look but don't base your entire Rhineland trip just for this. It's essentially is a 18th century manors modelled after a castle. Still very cool but not really a castle. The view is a 10
