Gave one star only because zero star is not possible. We had dinner here tonight because of the nice location and very nice weather. I ordered a popular dish, toasted Pork Shank. The food was obviously pre-prepared and reheated. It was over cooked and hard to chew. My wife tried it as well. Both of us got food poisoned. My wife went to the WC twice within 20mins. I ran into almost a disaster!!! I noticed other guest ordered the same dish. I hope we were the only unlucky ones.

Having a drink here would be good. Don't order food there!!!

For a place next to one of the most touristy attractions in Nürnberg, the food is pretty good and 'fresh' (even though my schnitzel was deep friedmost likely frozen instead of the fresh pan fried versions you get in the countrysides).

The steaks were really good, especially being presented on a hot stone surfact, but steaks and Germany just really don't go well together.

The Schäufele was perfect! Same as the Apfelküchle.

Very nice location along with a homely interior. Unfortunately the food did not fully meet our expectations apart of the sausages. For tourists surely a good option on or from the castle but going there only for dinner may be not my first choice.

I really love this place! Its tight but charming, sitting under the Kaiserburg (Nurnberg;s city castle). The staff is friendly and they have some awesome local foods! Afterwards talk a walk up to the Kaiserburg for a romantic view of the city.

Great food, friendly service, nice atmosphere, and reasonable prices. The Nuernburger was amazing! It looks like it could be a tourist trap given its location but it really isn't. A strong recommendation!
