Great location, pleasant staff, good breakfast
Fabulous stay! The staff were efficient and the rooms are spacious and clean. The hotel offer bicycles which we used a couple of times for touring. Great location for walking the Marienplatz. The lobby is comfortable and providing flavored cold water.
The centrally located hotel is within walking distance to the major shopping and tourist areas of Munich. The bed is comfortable, the staff polite, and the amenities appropriate for the cost.
Very nice hotel. Central to the pedestrian zone and victual market. Friendly professional staff. Great bar. Have been here many times.
Nice room - clean with good amenities and complimentary water. Was noisy early due to construction and road works happening in the nearby streets (the hotel can't be blamed for this but it's a consideration). Wish we could have tried the award winning restaurant but they were fully booked for a month in advance.
Lovely rooms with a great renovated bathroom. The bar downstairs is a little pricey but the atmosphere is very chic and the staff is very friendly. The room was nice! King-size bed was comfortable and roomy. There could have been more floorspace to set down luggage and things but it's easily overlooked when you take into account the location! Great walking distance to everything you want to see in Munich. The street is quiet but very central.
Location is good and the hotel is nice. Second visit now and it's very comfortable
Very nice hotel. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful upon arrival. Very centrally located near the heart of Munich. Nice in house bar area serving up some delicious teas. Rooms were great and the showers were fantastic. Very comfortable beds! Recommend for a stay in central Munich.
The platzl hotel is a great place to stay in Munich center. It's close to all the sights. The rest of the accommodations are great. They offer breakfast, two restaurants, a bar, and complimentary wifi. Can't go wrong.
Incredibly nice hotel. The staff were super friendly and spoke excellent English. The rooms were big and had a lot of character. The beds were incredibly comfy. There was complimentary bottled water, good wifi, great showers, and spacious bathrooms. I also enjoyed the robes and local beer-based lotions and shampoos. Everything was clean and professionally presented. This place was so great, we booked an additional couple of nights.
The free spa was a totally fun and weird experience. Check it out if you have the chance.
The breakfast is very expensive, so know that going in if you want that as part of your room. Also, know what you're getting with your location: it's in the heart of the city, with tons of stuff going around in it, but it's also the most touristy part of the city, which means you're going to be surrounded by shops and restaurants designed mostly for tourists instead of locals.
