Rooms are large and have a nice view. The structure is a bit old.

Have been in youth hostles that were cleaner, less noisy and had better breakfast. A serious ripoff, stay away from the Opal!

Centrally located in downtown Oberstein. Comfortable rooms. Front desk staff makes you feel at home.

Run down and pricy. Just a normal conference hotel. Good view though. And well situated.

The hotel is smack dab in the town of Idar-Oberstein and probably the largest building as well. I enjoyed the breakfast it was simple. The hallways have motion sensor lighting so its usually dark unless someone opens there doir or walks down the hall. The rooms are okay. The bedding was not my favorite the pillows are very flat. The heat in the rooms don't circulate I literally had to move my bed close to the heater. The front desk clerks were very helpful. Lots of little restaurants near by as well as a small supermarket within walking distance and an atm.

Nice place in the city center, tallest building in Idar, breakfast is on the top floor with the panoramic view to nearest mountains and nature!

This hotel is big and looks out oer the city. By far the tallest building which gives some advantages with the view. Other than than, the services are stable and rooms are as expected.
