フランクフルトからS8に乗って片道40分、3時間あれば十分観に行ける距離です。

Die Kirche St. Stephan ist ein sehr besonderes Bauwerk. Ich selbst bin nicht religiös, aber ich bringe Freunde gerne bei ihrem ersten Besuch in Mainz hierher. Die Atmosphäre ist für eine Kirche sehr besonders. Die blauen Fenster Chagalls tauchen den Bau in ein mystisches Licht. Es ist fast so, als würde die Luft blau leuchten.

Auch die Führung kann ich empfehlen, wenn sie in den Turm führt. Von dort aus hat man einen sehr schönen Ausblick über Mainz.

A must see if you are in Mainz. Windows designed and made by Chagall and are all in shades of blue. See if you can go when the sun shines bright.

Excellent. The Chagall windows are amazing and so is the courtyard. The detail in the stained glass is breathtaking and tell a number of the Bible stories. The courtyard enhances the light of the day and is worth spending some time looking at.
