Karstadt is very big. Go downstairs (2nd level underground) for Lebensmittel (food store). The variety of things offered is so wide, that you can spend a lot of time here. Smoked fish is very good. Try the North See mackerel, fresh smoked, it has a very nice taste. Shrimps salad is wonderful.

Went in there after I saw some polos and t's on sale. The amenities are nice (WC, changing rooms and etc.). In the shoe department I got much needed help with selecting footwear for myself. Thank you.

I paid a 1.055 Euros for 2 Schlafferia Matresses. Waited 1 week. And by the delivery both of the matresses were dirty. I paid for high quality, and beacause of cheap packaging. We BOTH lose. NEXT Time I go to Karstadt, test the matresses. Then I will order it through AMAZON! They double package there items.
So 1 Week later. Got a replacement matress. The second time I had to take vacation. They showed up with a replacement matress.
It was the same delivery guys. I tried to keep them out of the house, because they stink real bad from cheap cigarettes.
So the second matress was packed in thicker plastic. And by picking it up by the cloth handle it ripped off.

One of the best supermarkets to find specific things, like Argentinean steak, all kinds of cheeses, etc. But, not cheap.
