We stayed in a deluxe room for 8 nights with our large dog who was welcome in the hotel with the exception of the restaurant (fair enough). The room was spacious, clean and had all the basic amenities I would expect in a 4*. Although we were half board, we only ate one evening meal here as I'm local so preferred to go out with family and friends. The meal we did have was good but at times felt like they were trying a little too hard and letting themselves down on basics like under seasoning the soup. Wine list was extensive and predominantly local, we had a fantastic bottle of Lanz Riesling! Breakfasts were typically continental with the added bonus of terrace seating during good weather. Laundry service was super fast (same day). Overall, the service was good if not a little contrived and stiff at times. Would love to give 5 stars but felt that there is room for improvement and for the prices charged, you expect a lot and a bar that is open every evening for hotel guests.

First time we allowed a wine waiter to recommend a wine for us. We were not disappointed. It was lovely and good value and complemented the delicious meal perfectly. Great for veggies.

I stayed here on a business trip for 6 nights, which I think is unusual compared to their typical guests who are on vacation. The hotel is a little out of the way, though was convenient for me. I had to be at Messe Friedrichshafen every day, and the commute was an easy 25 minutes. Although only a few of the staff spoke English (the owner/chef and one of the waiters), I did not have any major communication problems.

The hotel is really pretty. Nonnenhorn is a tiny town and is very picturesque. The room was certainly very comfortable and clean, although the decor was a little dated for my taste. My only complaint was that they did not replace the shampoo bottles during my stay, so I ran out of shampoo on my last night there.

The highlight of the hotel for me was the restaurant. The food was fantastic and the service excellent. I had the best soup ever - Banana Curry Soup with a shrimp scampi - wow! I at in the restaurant every day, breakfast and dinner. Everything I had was incredible.

They do not have WiFi in the rooms, which is a pity for me as I had to work every night. However, they were very accommodating, and I worked in the restaurant and lobby without a problem. When I had a connection, except for one night, it was really fast and efficient for me.

I have to be back in the Friedrichshafen area next year for a week again, and I will stay here again.
