Ein sehr einfaches Hotel sehr laut. Absolut nette Mitarbeiter . Das Frühstück mit sieben Euro auch für ein Kind nicht angebracht.

Pro:
The breakfast was not horrible.
Friendly staff.
Con:
1. Room smells like pee when the window isn't open.
2. Pay for WIFI - 3.80 Euro for 3 days for 1 device.
3. Wifi connection is poor, google front page has 50/50 chance to load. My phone is unable to connect.
My colleague on the floor above cannot connect any device to the WIFI.

Zuersteinmal das positive, die Parkplätze für Pkw´s sind direkt vor bzw neben dem Hotel.
Nettes freundliches und recht kompetentes Personal.
Akzeptabeles aber mit 6 Euro doch etwas teueres Frühstücksbuffet.
Nun zu den Zimmern, wir hatten ein Doppelzimmer von ca 12 m² + ca 3 m² Dusch/Toilette mit Handwaschbecken, zu einem Preis von 102 Euro (90 Euro Zimmerpreis 2x6 Euro Frühstück)
Als wir dann oben im 2. Stock waren standen hinter einer massiven Metallzimmertür 2 einzelne Betten, ein Stuhl an einem kleinen Tischchen das an der Wand Befestigt war, ein kleiner Schrank und ein 20 Zoll Flachbild tv Monitor mit Fernbedienung, leider nur analoge tv Programme mit leicht verrauschtem Bild.
Die Fenster ließen sich öffnen und auch wieder schließen, auch die Heizung funktionierte, es roch nur nach einiger Zeit nicht so angenehm.
Die Handtücher und auch das Bettzeug sind zwar schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen waren aber sauber, was man vom Zimmer bei genauerem hinsehen leider nicht behaupten konnte.
Das viel zu klein geratene aber wenigstens recht saubere Bad mit Dusche bestach duch seinen rustikalen Charme, war allerdings recht praktisch, da man sich wenn man auf der Toilette saß auch gleich die Hände waschen konnte.
In der Dusche konnte ich mich sogar etwas bewegen was beim einseifen und abduschen doch sehr hilfreich war. Es sollte beim duschen allerdings darauf geachtet werden, daß man ein Handtuch vor die Dusche legt, denn es gibt leider nur einen etwas wasserdurchlässigen Duschvorhang, für eine Duschtür gab es leider keinen Platz.
Badezimmergröße inklusive Dusche ca: 0,80 m Breit 3,00 m lang eine recht saubere Toilette Handwaschbecken mit Spiegel und Abstellmöglichkeit für Zahnputzbecher, eine recht locker befestigte Steckdose mit einem etwas betagten Föhn und die bereits erwähnte etwas zu klein geratene Dusche.
Desweiteren gab es links und rechts neben der Toilette 2 Handtuchhalter und einen Toilettenpapierabroller mit Papierrolle und sogar einer 2.Toilettenpapierrolle.
Im großen und ganzen nur etwas wenn man mal für eine Nacht irgendwo übernachten muß und nichts anderes findet.response / report this review -

Disgusting, despite non-smoking sign horrible smokers smell, dirty bathroom, horrible smell in shower and from toilet, sink not cleaned. Stayed for a week, not cleaned once, absolutely unbelievable for a place like Bad Homburg.

After staying in many hotels around the world, this is the first time I have to write a bad review, that is how awful this place is, especially for the price range (60+ EUR the night a double room, up to 90+ on holidays).
This is what you need to know:
- No elevator, which isn't a big deal, unless you have heavy luggage.
- The reception is closed most of the time, even at times where it's supposed to be open.
- Paper thin walls. Very noisy in the mornings, forget about restful sleep.
- The beds seemed nice that was until I noticed the blood stains and I got bitten by bugs.
- Warning for those with dust allergies: There's a thick layer of dirt and objects under the bed, which I surmised belonged to past guests.
- Other than a TV, a phone, furniture and toilet paper, there's nothing available for the guests. Water boiler, Cups, Shampoo? Not here.
- If you want WIFI access, you'll be charged extra and arbitrarily (one day we were charged 5 EUR for 3 days of access, only on 2 devices. Another day we were charged 4 EUR for 2 days, 1 device). Despite the price, don't expect a good connection.
- Everything in this place is half functional or in a neglected state, from the TV, to the power outlets and door handles.
After the terrible impression this place left on us, I still thought the people working there weren't that bad. That was until the day were we left, instead of getting a call to let us know about the checkout time (at 11 am) 30-15 mins before, like any other regular hotel, we started getting knocks on our door at 9:30 am, basically hurrying us up and kicking us out. At the third time, we left, and of course there was no one at the reception (which was supposed to be open), so we just left the key with the cleaning lady (the one passive-aggressively kicking us out).
All in all, I wouldn't recommend the Adler Hotel to my worst enemy.response / report this review -

Rooms were clean and size was OK. No elevator for heavy luggage. Worst breakfast I have had in a hotel in a long time. (Over)charging for wifi, which is even very unstable, needs a website login and only allows one device per payment.
