A little bit off-the-beaten-track from Frankfurt hot spots, but nice location. Friendly service and very tasty food and very good Apple Wine (Äppelwoi). Goodie: Corner for children to play.
Freundliche Bedienung, mein Hund war auch willkommen. Nur der Apfelwein war nicht mein Ding. Bin ja auch aus dem Bergischen Land.
Nice place
Went for our first meal in Germany and it certainly set the bar for every meal afterwards! We both ordered the gefullter leberwurst kartoffel and thought it was absolutely amazing. The portions are large and the beer is great. The waitress and owner were extremely friendly and accommodating even though our German was limited. Definitely a spot for the locals but also a welcoming place for those hoping to get some German cuisine.
First meal in Frankfurt, staying nearby. Schnitzel was made quickly and tasted pretty good. Service was professional. Only wish I spoke more German. They were nice to me but probably enjoy their locals more. Would go again, hopefully inside haha
I was twice there with french friends in order to show them a bit of the german culture if I may say so, and to have fun of course. We enjoyed the Kegel very much, because it is for us unusual. And then we were glad to eat a traditional german diner in the restaurant. The food was really good and original, and there is a great choice of good applewines, which is rarely the case, even in Sachsenhausen.
I will continue to bring my friends there. It's worth it!
