  Located in the heart of Hamburg's artsy, beatnik and alternative quarter, Herr Max gives a new definition to your grandma's tea party. Amidst framed doilies, cupboards filled with vintage china and rebellious screen printed images of colourful skulls and flowers, this coffee shop managed to strike a comfortable balance between shabby chic and counter-culture. The baked goods here are fantastic, including an impressive selection of gluten-free and vegan treats - but what truly wows is the skilled hand of the owner with cake decorations. Highly recommended, even if you're not in the mood for coffee.

  We had a great breakfast here. You can share a plate together because it is a lot! The coffee is very Nice!
  The waiting time is long, they just Work in a very relaxed tempo.

  These guys really know how to make a good cake. Not too sweet, good ingredients and even vegan people find something. Nice atmosphere and good people. And dont miss the summer icecream.

  Marvellous cakes, cookies. A good selection of teas and coffee. Can be crowded at the weekend, but it's worth visiting. Interior has shabby chic.

  Cosy place for good pastries. Home made pastries are renewed once they are finished. If your favorite is finished, wait a couple of minutes, it will be available again

  Looking really cute! Unfortunately it was super duper crowded and I didn't really like my Chai Latte. Nevertheless it might have been only that one time, so I'll definitely go back there to try some coffee and cake!

  Super tasty cakes. Coffee is nice too. Cozy atmosphere. When it's full, take some cake to go and enjoy it at home.

  i am in hamburg for a visit..I stopped and look around and found this cute place and did not miss a cake !😀 Been here twice..lovely place.. the employers are so.pretty..smiling faceslooovee their cakes.. 👍👌💕

  Splendid cafe with a wonderful decor. You feel like you're sitting in a kitchen where the baker prepares his cakes. Nice coffee/teas and wonderful cakes!
