One of our favourite restaurants. We like to sit at the bar for dinner and watch the chefs cook with the open kitchen concept. Relaxed ambiance, creative food, extensive wine list and friendly staff.
One of the best meals I've ever had. Incredible.
Good food
Great food, great wine, great service and a perfect setting. You can't go wrong. Perfect small menu with a huge selection of wines served with a lot of love and passion. Must visit if you are in town.
My wife and I spend a wonderful evening at Heimat. The food was amazing (for such kind of restaurant rather big portion, so don't order too much unless you are really hungry) and the wine recommendations fitted perfectly. Rather pricy, but worth every euro
I don't know where to begin but I believe we found a true culinary gem here in Frankfurt. Though I am not too familiar with the Frankfurt food scene this place is of international caliber. Very tiny place - make sure you have reservations - selling out every night. Only very few food items on the menu, changes seasonally, very fresh ingredients and the chef has a hand for second to none food compositions. The wine list - or let's say - book - is very impressive. I enjoyed my stay in Frankfurt and "Heimat" was the high note of it.
Sensational restaurant.
Reduced menu with 5 or 6 options each course, but superb fresh ingredients and some unusual vegetables (horse-radish, sea-grass) - cooked crunchy.
Enormous wine list (the owner is a passionate wine-lover).
I like reds and the waitress suggested various German reds which really surprised me - pleasantly.
My, obviously outdated, view was that German wines are necessarily white.
Wrong.
Highly recommended.
