A great place to stay in Frankfurt. The best possible combination of tradition, style and really good service. The bar in the basement is a real highlight with a very enjoyable atmosphere. Live piano music in the background, very good drinks and always perfect service make it outstanding. If you want to spend a special night, take this location and stay at the hotel afterwards.

Thought I got a good deal. Booked a comfort room. Don't do that. More an aged 4 star experience. Nothing Grand. I asked the reception. The comfort rooms are not yet renovated. OK. Hotel is empty. Why don't you give guests not a better room??? Bed very soft. Bed sheets feels like 2 star in Spain. Small, thin. Tip: save yourself the disappointment and stay in a modern 4 star hotel in Frankfurt. You might get a modern room without stains in the floor. You might get a large TV. And maybe a charger for your iPad. Last but not least it might be more silent as you can hear everything from the floor outside.
Btw. I stayed in many 5 stars around the globe. First time I am really disappointed as I did not expect that in Germany.
We did not try the restaurant. Seems the location might be good for an event. Location is good if you go to the Frankfurter Messe.
Parking is 29 a night. Here comes the 5th star 😀.

Reduced to one star after I looked at the hotel booklet in the room. How can this be so dirty and used? Don't you check those items? I feel dirty after touching this. This is really bad. Try to upload an image. Now I am really disappointed. Too bad the room is paid already. I would have changed the hotel.
Update regarding the breakfast. I would say good 4 star. One big buffet table. Very tasty. Of course you cannot compare to international 5 stars. Although they make you an omelette if you ask. Not offered right away. Coffee was soso in small mugs. Service good. Again comparing it to last week in Shanghai no comparsion at all. Quite crowded so the hotel has more guest than expected.response / report this review -

Maybe one of the smaller and less significant Grandmother's but nevertheless driven by great ambitions, resulting in a decent value for money.

I went there for a company dinner/Christmas party. Very beautiful/fancy place. Food was good but not the best I had in all honesty.
The bar downstairs feels cozy, while small, had a nice atmosphere (even though you had to wait for a while for your drinks)response / report this review -

Had the pleasure of meeting friends here, loved it. If you are American do NOT use Buchbender Auto Rental, they will lie, cheat and take advantage of you. They ruined a major part of my vacation.

A real 5 star hotel! Great staff, always ready to help! Rooms are clean and have a nice decoration! Check in and check out are faster lately but room service takes a while!
