Three of us had a wonderful little second floor space with a sitting room, two sleeping rooms, a balcony and two baths. It was clean, sunny, and had good air circulation since there is no air conditioning. We really enjoyed the hotel. The staff were mostly courteous and helpful, though a bit harried at times. The hotel is well kept, in a great location. The summer flowers are wonderful. You will smell the cows and cow manure in the summer, so be prepared for that 'charm.' They have free bikes to use and it's a great biking location. You can even bike to the castles and Fussen, which we did for dinner. A summer highlight was picking strawberries across the road with Schloss Neuschwanstein in view. Each room has a drying rack built into the balcony so it's perfect mid trip when you need to wash out a few things. I would certainly stay there again.

Nice hotel with lovely scenery. They have bicycles you can use for free. Staff are not particularly friendly.

The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful with all aspects of the check in/out process as well as providing suggestions for activities in the area. Our family room was in the new annex and it was amazing. We were expecting a small typical European room but instead entered a HUGE room with a separated bedroom, large terrace, and large bathroom. The housekeeping staff are tedious and keep the property looking spotless. We enjoyed breakfast there both mornings and had dinner in the restaurant one of our nights. The breakfast spread was wonderful including a variety of eggs, breads, cheeses, cold cuts, muesli, cereal, yoghurt, and jellies. Dinner was great also. Although there was a limited menu due to the holidays, the food was fresh and delicious. You can't go wrong with Ferienhotel Helmer!

Nice hotel, friendly staff. The breakfast was varied and for dinner, there were three choices, including a vegetarian dish. Everything was very clean. The room was spacious.We liked it that the toilet and bathroom were seperated. Also the fact there is a large parking for free. Also a nice vieuw on the castle of Neuschwanstein.
Only (little) negative point: when you order something to drink, it's possible you have to wait a while.
