We wrote to this campsite asking about a reservation and had a poor reply, we then sent a further 4 emails and they never even bothered to reply. We can see why they have sooooo many bad feedbacks as they are rude and unhelpful. AVOID AVOID AVOID

Beautiful Lake, but dirty close to the camp site. No free WiFi

Let us check in, go to our pitch, set up, then decided to kick us out with no discussion or reason. Avoid at all costs

We went to the camping site and wanted to book a spot for the night. When we arrived, around 12 PM, we saw that there were several free sports still available so finding somewhere to pitch our tents wouldn’t be a problem. We enter the reception only to find the most rude people in Bavaria. Tents are not allowed on the camping because it “destroys the rocky ground”.
First of all, I don’t see how a tent can destroy more than a two ton caravan.
Second of all, the ground was all grass so no stones and rocks to destroy.
Third, the place was already full of tents, which the apparently allow for one night if you booked for seven nights.
It was clear that it was an age issue, we were four people age 26-30. Also from other reviews, we realized that they are known for age discrimination. The way they treated us was incredibly rude. When we were standing outside discussing our options on where to go instead, one of the owners kept peeking out from the reception and stare at us. When I asked him if I could help him with something, he looked away and acted like nothing, only to go back to staring five seconds later. Ridiculous behavior from a 60+ year old man. Bottom line, there are several camping sites around the Chiemsee – choose another one if you want to be treated with the respect you deserve as a customer.

We wanted to camp (four 25-30 year olds) with two small tents.

When you come spontaneously with a tent, prepare to get slammed in the face. The camping "doesn't allow tents because of the rocky underground'". Only when you booked, they make exceptions.
We saw numerous tents spread over the place (on perfect grass), so the story was total rubbish. In fact we think it was just because of our age. Stereotype old people run this camping.
Bottom line: we were told to drive another 12K to another Camping where 'they do accept tents'.

Totally unacceptable and arrogant and prejudiced people.
