AVOID AT ALL CAUSES; FRAUD

Me and other German colleagues have chosen the care concept expatriate insurance.

You basically pay a general monthly health insurance fee, that covers the basics BUT you must pay first and than provide the bill and the diagnosis on the bill and send both in original documents to their departure in Bonn.

And here is how they make money. They only reimburse you the money for your health costs with the original receipt and diagnosis in front of it and guess what, they NEVER "received" the bills.

It happened to my working colleagues, who send the original receipts via post from Ireland to Germany and did not get a refund because the employees of care concept calim to "never received the documents".

As I was already suspicious of them doing it on purpose, I made a test. I put all my documents in an envelope and handed it to my friend, who visited me here. He send it out on 31st of October 2017 from Cologne and on the 15th of November 2017 the HQ in Bonn claimed, they did not receive anything..what a interesting coin incidence.
But smart as I was, I made a copy of the majority of bills and resend it to them via email.

When I highlighted to them, that I think they do this on purpose, to fraud people they said they can only refund what they received. Guess what, I did not get anything refunded.

the service of chinese ist very bad, i think. it's more easy to commucate with motherlanguage, but they are often unpatient and don't deal with your problem in time. so , if you can English or German speak, you can turn to the Germany service. They are more patient, even if you speak not so good.

I have not had any health problems during the period of my insurance with care concept but I'd say it was so easy and smooth to terminate my contract, I had no problems with that at all, it took just 24 hours and everything was done.

After reading a number of negative reviews, I got worried when I wanted to cancel my contract. So I wrote them an email and I followed it up with a phone call. The guy was very friendly. I received their acknowledgement email in less than five minutes after our phone call. On the third day, I received an email indicating that they are preparing my payment and the following day, I got my extra money back. Kudos!

Although i´ve read so many negative comments about this company, but i got this insurance 1 year ago as i was not a student yet. in this 1 year i had to visit unfortunately doctors so many times and the money that i had to pay overall for this year to the doctors was very high (although they were just normal visits). Care Concept always sent me the money 100% back even the medicines that i had to buy. Only one time it took a bit longer because i had to fill up some papers they sent me, so they know why do i visit doctors so often in a short period of time (which i think is normal for an insurance that takes only 33 euros per month).
SO now that i ended my contract there i can say that i was fully satisfied with it.

Big scam. They don't even pay for a visit to a regular doctor. That's with their offer "Care Comfort". Keep away from them, very bad insurrance.

I am from Germany and participated in an exchange program in the US and therefore needed health insurance. Due to some misunderstandings with my university, I had to get it while I already was in the US. Fortunately this was not a problem for Care Concept. In the end it took me only a few days until everything was set.
I must note though that I did not get sick over there, so I can only judge their communication which was really good!

This company did not pay for emergency treatment for me.

They claimed to do everything in English, but they only do so before you actually need care: they made me fill forms in German, without giving any help to translate them, and after a lot of work from my part, they denied care! Ironically, their slogan is "We take care of you!", which is very far from the truth. I do not trust any single review here that gives more than 1 star to this company. And I will make sure no other people that I care about will ever get in contact with them.

As I can see from the other reviews, they claim to "not have the contact in their database", or some other BS like that, whenever someone tells the truth about them. Here my number is: CC169932253. Deny it now, I dare you.

I currently use the health insurance company for working holiday visa in Germany.
And I just got upset and very disappointed by them.
The customer service is very bad and the staff can't communicate properly at all.

After I went to see a woman doctor, I asked the health insurance company to transfer the bill to there.
And they recommended me to pay the bill in advance because the processing will take 3 weeks to get my case done so transferring the bill will be late.( the bill had to be transferred to the doctor within 2 weeks).
So I transferred the bill to the woman doctor in advance and told the health insurance company about that.
Since then they said they transferred the money to me (I checked my account and I haven't got transferred.) And in a few days later, they sent the email that they transferred the bill to the woman doctor! I said I already transferred the money to the woman doctor in advance as they recommended me to do so. I still haven't got my money back because they transferred the money to the doctor which was supposed to send to my bank account.. I asked them to transfer the money but none of them replied correctly to my message.
And finally they replied to me and said "Unfortunately, your notification crossed in the post with our payment. The bank transfer has already been made to the issuer of the invoice. For future reference, we recommend keeping a note of whatever bills you submit to us so that we can avoid this kind of double payment in future." I became just speechless and they even didn't apologize to me.. Although they recommended me to pay in advance and I transferred the money earlier like a week ago, they keep saying those which totally doesn't make sense

They don't share customer information( my emails at all) and always the person who sent email changes of course those things happen..
So now I understand why the health insurance is cheaper than others.

So if you are thinking weather you get the health insurance from the company i won't recommend you and you totally should have proper one even it's a bit expensive than this( If you want to avoid those troubles). I would have had other health insurance.
