We had a pleasant stay here, pity you are not able to pick your own pitch. We were a bit far from the shower block. Which was very clean.
Nice place, worth a visit for swimming but often too crowed, basic food offering. Best, cable for water-ski and wakeboarding this is a 5*
Nice place, but the staff is really rude and start yelling quickly
exciting surfing facilities! thums up!
Excellent, friendly amazing lake to swim in
Schöner See, aber unfreundlichstes Personal der Stadt.
Nice
My partner and I decided to have a night camping, we live in Basel so wanted some where nearby and choose Camping Tunisee as we had been wakeboarding on a day trip before.
The Camp manager was very abrupt and impersonable on arrival, gave us fast instructions about a quiet times that I took little notice of as I was planning on not being noisy.no explanation of where the toilets or cooking facilities were etc. We were shown to our site (unprivate and a little too close for comfort to other campers) and had a nice evening having a BBQ and a few drinks before retiring to our camper.
The next day we went for a bike ride and then decided to leave soon after. However it was 10 mins past the quiet time which is 1pm to 3pm. Not actually realising this we drove to the gate only to be told by the two young boys that we were not allowed out and they wouldn't lift the barrier! Further more we were not allowed to move the van from its position by the barrier. I didnt realise we had checked into a prison!
On arguing this point, they finally rang the camp manager who began to yell at me down the phone straight away yelling that she had told us of the quiet time etc, I argued the point with her and tried to explain we were merely minutes late and really can they actually hold you prisoner inside a campsite??? She proceed to yell at me to stop talking.and then saidshe would open the barrier only if we promised never to come back again!!! We were never welcome back!
Way to run a business lady. We weren't rude, loud, drunk or anti social during our staywe merely misunderstood the quiet time rules and left 10 mins past 1pm. I found her reaction to us totally out of context and quiet frankly disgusting.
I have travelled for over 20 years and camped alot and I have never ever been treated so badly for something soooo minor!!! I mean we didn't kill anyone!
As we promised we will never ever return and I have made sure that I have put this on a Basel expat website so that the 3000 members can also be sure not to slip up if they are brave enough to stay there!!!!!
