Emplacements are close together but the site is well run with clean shower and toilet facilities. Great for visiting the city by walking along the river, approximately 40 minutes to the Munster.
Very friendly and professional staff, several languages spoken. Tent pitchs are mostly in the shadow. 20 minutes walk from the city center. Perfect base camp for your black forest explorations.
Good location for easy access to the town. The staff are very helpful. A restaurant next door and good modern clean facilities. Downsides are the pitches are small and very crowded
Cute yet modern camping practically in Freiburg. Tasty Biergarten next to it. Beautiful woods within walking distance. Moderate prices. Great staff.
This place is for everyone - whether you are a solo traveler or a caravan owner on family vacation. There are nice arrangements for caravan. The staff is very nice and working very hard to make your vacation a memorable one. There are a lot of useful things for s traveller that you can find at reception - food, maps, tickets etc. The only problem was that there was only one central wc near the reception which proved to be a big problem specially at night time as you have to go all the way from your tent/caravan which can be quite long.
Great, well-staffed campground with an unbeatable price. Renting a caravan from Hirzberg was easy, with a multilingual staff with expertise in camping. The caravan was up to date and spacious considering its size. Sleeping was comfortable with the available bedding rental. It's location is phenomenal, given the price. It's a twenty minute walk along the side of a stream straight to the city center. I definitely intend on returning.
Perfect locations to visit Freiburg. Pitches sre quite small but it is enough to visit Freiburg in 2-3 days. There is a Biergarten next to it.
A bit crammed in in high season when we visited, but the facilities are first class and super clean /, the multi-lingual staff are great and they will go out of the way to fit you in if they can (hence the crammed in-ness). For somewhere so close to a small city, it's incredibly peaceful and easy to access the Black Forest.
Shocking experiance .Staff very aggresive and certainly not friendly .Glad we did not stay as they cram the motorhomes in like sardines in a can .Turned up on site at the pre arranged time to find no one in reception and they have a 3 hour break from 12pm until 3pm .So beware when booking it seems they have curfew times !!!!!!!! .I did not even want to give a 1 star minus 10 would be more appropriate .
Booked direct with site for two nights on way to Innsbruck, could not be more helpful. Good English spoken in reception, maps of city and attractions given very clean and warm facilities. Electric is metered, as are most sites in Germany. Easy to walk into Freiburg and surrounding woods. Shopping centre with supermarkets only 10 minutes walk. Excellent!
