Might have been nice but will never know with such bad service. Recommend the Bäckerei Lukas 5 minutes away on Brühl Straße

Very nice location especially in a sunny day! It is very close to Bach museum and Thomas church. We decided to make a break here in order to drink something. The prices are ok and the have a variety of tea. Coffee was nothing special. There you can also buy the typical and famous Leipziger Lerche. Before we go we decided to take some with us for the road. Even if they many there we were allowed to take only the ones, which were already packed in plastic. When we asked if we could take some of the fresh ones ,the answer was a big and IMPOLITE no. They were very rude and unfriendly, sorry but this is not a way to treat a customer!

Very cute two story Cafe. Amazing tea and coffee selection. I wasn't impressed by the local specialty with the marzipan filling but the history is interesting. Service isn't great.

The waiter was very rude. In general the place has very good products and I used to go there pretty often and promote it the place as well. However, after the rude behaviour of a young man who was working on Saturday, it a reason for me not to go there again.

It was okay. The decor and its clients were rather old-school. As young people my friend and I didn't feel quite at place there. Still, it was fine and we liked the cakes. It wasn't mind blowing, though. It's a classic here, so we've had higher expectations, similar cafés with friendlier staff and great choices are available nearby, though.

Very nice and cosy place with enormous variety of hot beverages and cakes, also other dishes for the realy hungry ones 😉! Highly recommended!

What would be better than a Coffee on a rainy day? Absolute disrespect from the waitress. Went into the Café about 45min before closing time. After greeting the Waitress politely all we got was a smirk. We sat down and waited for her to give us our menu's. After 5 min we went to Bar to make the order ourselves. After seeing us walking towards her she took away all the name and price tags from the cakes and then, with a demonstrative manner took the fastest route to the kitchen. Let me make this clear I expected her to at least open her bloody mouth to tell us they were closing up soon, rather than provide such disgusting service! Pathetic.

Leipziger Lerchen schmecken köstlich, Kaffee sehr gut, Bedienung freundlich obwohl alle Plätze belegt sind. Kein Stress zu spüren. Immer wieder gerne.

Stay away from this cafe!
Despite the nice atmosphere and original design, the cafe creme I have ordered was nothing but filtered coffee! When I asked the waitress about it she started shouting and said I didn't make it myself so I don't know! Absolutely bad attitude and bad experience.response / report this review -

War dort zu einem Date verabredet. Das Café ist gemütlich und schaut toll aus. Mein Getränk schmeckte lecker und war auch noch günstig. Atmosphäre war voll in Ordnung. Leider wurde aus dem Date nichts weiter. Fand die Dame eigentlich nett. Nach ja, vielleicht findet sich ja wer anderes ;P
