A Review of the Restaurant:

Charming little restaurant. Fair prices. Good, friendly service (even though we do not speak German). Good German food. Would definitely go back.

If you enjoy quaint rustic quiet local atmosphere without modern conveniences this is the place for you. Most doors are locked and closed by 11 pm. It is difficult to access your room with luggage after hours. Usually there is no one to assist with luggage. There are 3 to 4 buildings but only one of the bldgs has an elevator. The food is very good local cuisine and the staff, if not the owner, are usually friendly and get along well with each other. The cozy family atmosphere can tend to limit privacy but makes it easy to get information about your colleagues or friends who may also be staying there. Rooms tend to be on the cold side in winter and rooms come with strange layouts sometimes- rooms may have a kitchen but no kitchen sink, or a stove but no oven. Most rooms have an armoire but few built in closets. Some rooms have a mail slot to leave a note or very small package, others simply have a hook to hang a key on. A car is recommended as the surrounding area is residential with almost no stores within walking distance. The restaurant and hotel are frequented by many Americans and locals including many parties in their banquet room.

It is a wonderful little hotel/restaurant in a nice little German village. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone spending time in the area. Staff is very friendly and the food is great. Keep in mind that the wall outlets are European. Also, you may or may not get a fridge or a fan depending on which room you get.

Not perfect but close Țypically slow food service. Allow up to two hours on a busy night to complete the service. No air conditioned rooms. My room had no fridge, no microwave, and no fan. Temperatures were in the 90s the first week I was there and didn't cool down til well after dark. Friendly no frills lodging which is typical of a small German village. On the plus side, great trails for hiking, good breakfast, and close to Ramstein. The price was right!

The food and service is excellent. The food is authentic German and there are a few nice beers on tap. It is reasonably priced and the staff is very pleasant.

went here for lunch and service was good and speaks English. the food was good but not great. definitely worth trying out and there's free nearby parking

Rooms were very simple but fine. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was lovely and included in the room price. I enjoyed my stay. There is not a whole lot in the immediate area around the hotel but it is just a very short bus or cab ride downtown.

The best restaurants in Germany that I have been to the last 18 months. The prices where very reasonable. I had the dry aged rumpsteak. It was so tender and juicy with so much flavor! Great place to take friends to have "German" cuisine.
