Our visit on Saturday's evening was spontaneous, without reservation, that's why we could only land on an unstable bench outside. The place was crowded and naturally we had to wait at least half an hour for our order to be taken. After another waiting session we got our beers, Goulash and Bratwurst, which were on the "Bonner Spezialitäten" menu. The only thing that one could taste in that goulash was salt; plus bland Rotkohl and very sad Spätzle. Nothing special about that Bratwurst either. Beer had a distinctive yeasty flavour which I personally am not a big fan of. Disappointing, but the female staff was very friendly.

The pork hocks are insanely good. Beer is fine if you are into traditional German brews. Recommended.

Really good place to have a feeling of traditional German Food and local self made beer. Service is fast. I like to come time to time and enjoy delicious beer!

Good food and excellent beer.
I'm not in Bonn very often. I've eaten at various places in Bonn. All had good to excellent food choices. Bönnsch stands out for their beer. Today I had there 'Chocolate Malt' Weizen. A very dark, rich Weizen with a slight chocolate taste to the foam and just that tint of weirdness in the aftertaste that brought strong memories of real ale.

The first time I went there (November 2014) with a friend, we found a table in the back hall close to the brewery window. Just before we were served, we spotted a MOUSE inside the brewery!! After our dinner was served on the table my friend yelled and we saw the mouse was under our table!! We immediately left the place informing the waiter about it.
The second time we were a big group of people (9 persons) and we did not find a table so we had to order dinner with the perspective to eat standing! Finally after 30 min a table was found but only 5 persons fit!

Great atmospheric place in the center of Bonn. The prices are very fair and the food is delicious and typical. Also loved the local, home-made 'bönnsch' beer. I highly recommend to give this place a try!
