We were here in the summer of 2021 and felt completely at ease. We were not in the hotel but in the apartments (category Lake M). Nothing is missing: two bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower / bathtub and underfloor heating, two large balconies (one facing the sea, one facing the lake), a well-equipped kitchen with a cool American fridge, three flat screen TVs, even your own Washer / dryer in the apartment. Each apartment has its own parking space and its own shed for surfboards or bicycles, which is very practical. Hotel (e.g. for breakfast, sauna and swimming pool) can be reached on foot in 1-2 minutes, the same applies to the wonderful beach and the nice pedestrian zone. When you have children, you appreciate all of the benefits! The staff are nice and try everything to please the guests! Sure, it is really anything but cheap, but there are many things that make a holiday with children easier!
What we didn't like was the 9 euros per room (not per person) for the use of the swimming pool / sauna. Possibly due to Corona, but at the price the swimming pool and sauna MUST be free!
All in all: we will be back!
A little tip: 120 euros for late check-out is extremely exaggerated, especially when it is confirmed that the room is not booked afterwards! A little more customer orientation, please!
We rented an Ocean L apartment with a freestanding bathtub in July. The apartment was very spacious and nicely furnished. On arrival everything was clean and the apartment was available on time. The view from the terrace is really nice (more direct view). But it should also be mentioned that the promenade is between the beach and the apartments. We have completely self-catering, so we can't say anything about the restaurant. I deducted one star because it was the first time I was confronted with the fact that you had to pay EUR 9 to use the pool. At first I thought, wow, that's brave. After 1 week, however, I have to say that I find that quite outrageous. Especially since the pool has nothing to offer (maybe 8x6m). It should get very crowded here after Corona. With the 9 EUR you probably tried to regulate that. In all honesty, you'd better leave out the pool altogether. It should also be mentioned that the whole hotel and Heiligenhafen in general is very dog-friendly. The dog beach is 100m away. Dogs are not allowed directly on the main street. Beach chairs can also be rented at the dog beach. But be careful. In summer it is teeming with dogs. Not every dog is well behaved.
Great welcome, very friendly and cheerful team. The * Pad Suite * room was extravagant, but chic and unique. The location was mega, direct view of the pier and the sea. With the to go breakfast you could start the day perfectly on the balcony. The spa area was also convincing, the ambience alone was relaxing. The food in the restaurant was impeccable and the service was always attentive. I think it's great that everyone is addressed as you there, so you always feel comfortable and it doesn't give the typical impression that you are only a guest. Despite Corona, everyone was completely motivated and gave everything for the guests every day. We'd love to come back if the situation allows! :-)
