  Beautiful zoo with a large number of animals on display. Also shows several livestock animals such as sheep, goats, etc.
  Part of the Zoo is Dinopark with models of dinosaurs. One section also tells the history of people who lived in the area, with modeled huts, beehives and other objects, which is very interesting.
  It's also the only Zoo to have a WWII tank on display :)

  A great zoo where the majority of the animals have a lot of space, especially the lions. Try - if you arrive in the ice cream parlour - the choco kebab, it's epic!

  Who would expect that the 4th largest city in the CZ Republic would have such a wonderful zoo?! An ignorant American, that's who. Wide variety of species. Well cared for animals. Terrific setting.

  It's rather a birdpark than a zoo. It doesn't worth the money during the summer because every big animal hiding in their cool cave. Dinopark is ok.

  Great for sight seeing and family fun, and the dino park is a big hit for young kids. The giraffes were gorgeous, and the variety of animals makes this zoo very exciting to explore. At the top is a beautiful view of Plzen.

  Best zoo I've ever visited in my life. I will never forget the moment when Mr. diamondback started rattling its tail when I turned my back towards him. Ok, he was behind glass, but the noise was freezing my veines. Also loved the zookeeper cutting the grass inside the brown bear compound and feeding them with his harvest. Must have raised every one of these little buggers by hand, otherwise he wouldn't have become old. Indian rhinos and snow leopards do look impressive, too, And all this comes with an admission fee of only five Euros! Even beats Pilsener Urquell brewery! By miles!!! Never thought I would say that. ;)

  This zoo is made with creativity and love. There a many little things to explore. It has different themes and a dino park as well. Also they have museums with animals integrated which is just great! You can get close to the animals but still they have a lot of space. It's not expensive and perfect for a half a day-trip!

  Still not many trees (and shade in sunny days), but the zoo has improved a lot in past few years. My children also liked US tank and exhibition of venomous animals.

  Excellent zoo! Corrals and aviaries have very convenient view points for making photos. We spent there 2.5 hours and feel like we have seen only a half.
