Zoo was very good and nice, but we picked a very cold weather.
Mixture of the enclosures and exhibits. Some like the bear and wolves very good. Old fashioned exhibits for big cats.
Zoo is looking very tired, lots of the enclosures have huge cracks in the glass but looks like they’re doing a lot of work. Great to see a brown bear and the wolves, the smaller cats are kind of hidden away in very Cold War looking cells
Lovely zoo with huge areas for animals. Very good treatment of animals as well.
Some animals are like in prison. Otherwise nice park.
One of the worst zoo in Czech republic. Starting with grumpy reluctant cashiers. Continue with a lot of empty pavilions (temporary empty, sic) and old pavilions not suitable for animals not for visitors. Lack of facilities is another case. Food is horrible here – mainly futures fried stuff, one of children's meal (meatballs with mashed potatoes) was really disgusting.
Plus: porcupines, bat's pavilion and monkeys. And goat coop.
Zoo is good. I would say on standard level but they are making progress each year. Improvements for children entertainment in recent years are pretty good.
One of the "threesome ZOOs" (Zlin-Ostrava-Olomouc) which are all worth seeing. This ZOO is very nicely set in the hilly area of Svatý Kopeček with forest vegetation, turning the tour into a lovely and refreshing walk in nature with animal expositions cast along the way.
For children, the greatest attraction is a jungle gym with "rope center", but also the animals themselves.
Good place to visit in Olomouc, though the place is quite unreachable for students, but there will always bus to that direction from the Hlavni Nadrazi.
Great zoo.
Big zoo with lots to see, not expensive
Very nice, big and a lot of animals. Entrance is 110 CZK around 4 €. You can take a safari tour for 40 CZK
Realy large zoo. Nice to visit it. But animals are in poor condition, and restaurants are closed over working days. Only one with small menu are open.
