The house was full as we arrived.
The waiter offered us a table. We were already thinking that got lucky to get a table so soon. But first after serving a beer (which is served automatically in the place, weather you order it or not) he told us that the table was reserved and we could only drink a beer until the guests arrive. (Trap service) It was a Very frustrating experience for us because we had heard only positive things about the place
Legendary beer pub in the hear of Prague. Now many tourists are coming here but you can still find local regulars visiting this place. If you like Pilsner beer here is absolutely the best in Prague.
Just a normal bar that serves o
one type of beer on tap. Seems like a locals bar, not sure if they're impressed with tourists. Worth going for one pint I suppose.
Nothing to complaint about, it is a classic czech pub. If it wasn't famous i would not enter in something that looks like that. People smoke outside (many people) so there are hundreds of cigarettes on the ground. They could buy an ashtray like every pub have.
The place is busy and has a small menu, but if you want to meet real Czech people and have great beer this place can't be outdone! The best spot for beer in Prague! Be patient and open minded and you will have a great time!
The most redpill restaurant ever. The moment you sit, you get hit with a beer. No bs, no choice. Love it. Beer is amazing.
Nice and friendly place, not very touristic even though in the tourist area. Clearly worth a visit!
Famous beer place in Prague. Picture from Merkel on the wall can prove that. Drinking atmosphere.
Great atmosphere in one of Pragues oldest and distinguished pubs. Mostly local patrons as it is hidden in plain sight from tourists. Was frequented by several great writers in the past (Havel, Hrabal etc).
If you are after experience, this is the place to go. The beer is just the best, the pub food awesome and the rudeness of the staff is just a part of the genius loci.. It is pub of locals so please do not feel alienated when no one will smile at you. Keep in mind that you can't really do a reservation - as the reservation feature is open to the locals who have been visiting the pub at least once a week over the last 20+ years
But still worth the best beer in town and experience of the traditional pub full of characters
