Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Clean, comfortable and homely room. Clean bathroom very close to room and only shared with a few others. Great restaurant/bar. Perfect location, great views from communal balconies. Nice cheap breakfast. Stored bags for us on last day and gave loads of helpful information. Would stay again

Beds and pillows were uncomfortable. Found BED BUGS in my room and now have bites all over my arm. Would NOT suggest going here. Literally go anywhere else

It is a nice cheap place to stay at the city center, historic place. Hostel Dormitory rooms are not at all spacious. Only bed and locker. Kitchen available but in one floor, two bathrooms, one for men other for women are there for more than 30 people. Moreover, the bar opens till late night, howling is more than expected.

I didn't stay at the hostel, but this doubles as a pub with a Pivnice style design. Very traditional, and the main room has a really atmospheric and authentic feel. Eggenberg on tap, and friendly locals. A memorable few evenings.

Seriously, I will give negative stars if I can.
I was woke up by my roommate during the night cause she was bitten by bedbugs and the bites were so itchy that she couldn't fall asleep.
Her neck and part of her face was full of red swelling bug bites. It looked like she had just came back from a tropical forests camping trip.
I jumped out of my bed immediately and then my roommate pointed me one of the most spectacular things I've seen in Cesky Krumlov: black bugs crawling all over the wall and bedsheets.
It was 1 am but I felt the least place I wanna stay was those beds.
We tried to get someone for help but there was no one at the reception desk.
Thank God we traveled as a big group and there were spare beds in other rooms. But still we need one more space.
One person in our group ended up sleeping on the couch in the common room during this cold and windy late autumn night.
Nobody slept in the bug room (room A) for that night even though we paid for it.
While I am writing down this review, I am still working about whether there had been bedbugs hiding in my luggage or laying eggs in my clothes.
This is one of the most dramatic things that happened on this trip. If you want more dramas like this in your life, go book this hostel.response / report this review
