  300 years old fountain built as a source of water for a growing city (the original statues are displayed in a museum, we're looking at a very nice copy) placed at a beautiful square

  If You search for quiet little towns off the heavily beaten tourist path than Cesky Budejovice is the place. Charming town square, great architecture. Quiet.
