A small quiet hotel with an excellent restaurant. Reasonably priced with friendly staff. Breakfast is continental not British cooked. My regular hotel in Opava

As a hotel it is just decent, no elevator and the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything. The breakfast is good.
As a restaurant, extremely expensive (Prague level pricing) for ok food. The avocado salad for 165 was only 100g and contained about 1/4 of a completely unripe avocado! When we complained, we were told that is how avocados are supposed to be since "we don't cook them" :D.
We were there for a wedding, and the food and service for that event was great, but I wouldn't recommend a separate visit.response / report this review -

Clean rooms, good breakfast. AC available in only a few rooms. Nice big parking. beer-garden at the back nice for summer.

Vynikající kuchyně i servis. V Opavě převyšují standard. Ceny jsou s ohledem na kvalitu rozumné. Služby typu wellness jsem neměl možnost vyzkoušet.

Stylové prostředí restaurace Katharein láká k příjemnému posezení hotelové hosty, návštěvníky nedalekého centra Opavy a především gurmány, kteří si rádi vychutnají krajové i světové speciality v moderní gastronomické úpravě. Vybírat můžete z bohatého jídelního lístku, denního menu nebo nabídky některé z našich pravidelně pořádaných kulinářských akcí.

The best hotel in Opava: clean new rooms, lovely breakfast and helpful staff. Conveniently located near the center of the city and ample parking space.
