We loved our stay at Jacob Brno. We were in one of the apartments, which was very colourful (we particularly liked the adjustable colour LEDs in the kitchen) and warm as well as having good facilities (washing machine, oven, hobs) and quickly felt like home. The location is brilliant, very close to the heart of the city and surrounded by bars and restaurants, and with easy access to the transport networks. The only downsides were a bit of noise from revellers on the street on Saturday and nearby church bells on Sunday, but this'll always be the case for such a central location and is a minor nitpick compared to all the positives. The receptionists were really friendly and helpful, speaking English was no problem and it was easy to get any info we needed, plus they let us store our bags there after checkout while we explored. Definitely recommend for couples or families looking for a reasonably priced but comfortable base from which to explore Brno.

We had a one night stay and it was our emergency stay as our original hotel refused us for being late for check in.
This hotel accommodated us without any questions and we enjoyed our stay here. We will be happy to stay here again on our future travelsresponse / report this review -

The amenities here were nice, but it was very quiet. Brno is a college town and school was out during my stay so that may have been the reason.

Great location, and staff. Thankfully, earplugs are provided as the hostel is above a street bar. I hope to return to the hostel in future travels.

GREAT location, walkable from the train station, staff was friendly and very helpful, rooms were clean. Love Brno and will stay at Hostel Jakob again on my next visit.

Apartment 1 was big and light, cost 50 euro per night. Very central but quiet. Negative: - very slow internet with constant interruptions.
- for second coffee a day they charge extra
- we wanted to prolongue for 1 more night but had to pay a much more higher price, even though it was a low season
- one of the staff (dark haired girl) could not speak foreign languages and was very unflexible and not client oriented.response / report this review -

Great location! We can see a church outside the window of our room. The room is really big and the bed is confortable. They give us one towel to shower and one to use on your face. The breakfast is really good. You have ham, cheese, bread, nutella, yogurt. You can also choose tea or coffee to drink. The kitchen in the second floor is really full of stuff for anyone to use. Well equiped. The offer candy and ear plugs for free!
Unfortunately, I don't understand the water pressure in the faucets of the bathroom. I washed my have in the faucet of the kitchen because it had normal running water. In the picture of the faucet, it's on full, and almost no water is coming out. I was burned in the shower. Be carefull because the shower will get hotter and colder! It's better for you to get only a warm shower than gat burned while you shower. Also, I move the handle when the shower gets to hot and no difference in the water temperature!response / report this review -

An old apartment transformed into a hostel. Spacious room, old furniture, exceptional view from the windows. Lockers are good (they give you are key, so you can't use your own padlock), but small, you can put only your valuables inside (like laptop, camera, etc.), but not the whole bag. Gets noisy at the night with open windows, because the square in front of the hostel becomes crowded at the night.
