Helpful front desk clerks and check before you arrive so your not ripped off by the Czech taxi drivers the hotel has a car that they can send to pick you up
The hotel is placed near metro station, which is very convinient.
The WIFI signal is not so strong arround all rooms.
If you go there, ask for new renovated rooms.
Short walk from C line of the subway. Also next to Vyšehrad which has great view of the river and the city. Great and helpful staff. Buffet breakfast is €16 per person which has good variety of meat, starches, vegetables and fruits.
Dated design, bathroom door was worn so it wouldn't shut properly. Odd location for pickup for Uber, which required me to stumble down a hill to a lower gas station to find a driver three times. There is a gate which drivers can use, but I think they avoid it because they don't want to get charged.
Excellent standard. We loved our stay. The room was immaculate and clean. I'm going to give a big thumbs up for the bartender. His name was Jirí. He was very passionate about his Job. Very friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Martina recommended the perfect bar to us Alibi. The receptionist were very helpful and had a strong customer focus. Well done to the team at Holiday Inn at a Prague Vysehrad. Recommended.
One of the major reasons we chose this hotel is for the fact they supposedly have AC. However, that is just false advertising. They really just have fans, not AC. We talked to the hotel but they insisted the AC worked properly
Great beds. Your sleep will be very relaxing. Receptionists could be nicer, but man staff in the restaurant were really friendly.
Nice and clean with comfortable rooms. The bed was firm and big enough (standard room with double bed). Enough space to spend some time in the room if needed. Bathroom had a bathtub. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good with plenty of options.
The hotel was good overall. The quality of the food was good and always fresh. My room wasn't perfectly clean but it was adequate. The shower needed a lot of work in terms of drainage, which I told the front desk but they never reacted to it. The price was very good and I would go back there in a pinch but I will shop around next time I am coming to Prague.
Really good holiday inn on the outskirts of the city. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle to drive to and park and away from tourists but close enough to a get to see everything
Rooms are nice but feel a little stark, however food and staff are brilliant. The nicest HI staff I've encountered to date
Faint wired smell in the room - like cigarette. The bed was one of the most comfortable. There was complementary water in the room. Overall a good place to stay.
Update (oct. 2016). For me this is still the place to stay whenever I have to be in Prague. Very conveniently located near the subway line to the center of town as well as Chodov where our offices are. Always a nice touch to find the dried fruits and nuts and the small bottle of wine as a welcome in the room. Already looking forward to next year's stays.
Update (may 2016) : still a good place to come. For 10 years or so I really enjoy the friendly service here.
I have come here for the last 8 years or so and every time again the staff at reception are friendly and make me feel welcome. That is how you create customer loyalty. Some rooms need some renovation or at least a touch up. The doors can be a bit rickety Always good to come back here. Depending on time of year breakfast can be a but crowded if there is a tour staying at the hotel.
Good place, full Holiday Inn just Executive lounge short of.
Pricing can be catch very good for a Prague too and not so far from the city center, just short stroll like a 25min over the bridge or take a metro which is next doors (5min far).
New and cozy and looking to visit again :)
