we are impressed and thankful for three magnificent days. best value for money. very big standard room. perfect sleep. great service. very good brekfast. perfect sporting an spa facilities. in three words: real 5 stars!

Hands down one of my favorite hotels in Europe. The service is superb. This hotel has every possible amenity you can dream of. Its location in the heart of downtown, so from some rooms facing the front the views are unbelievable, when u come out you conveniently located steps from shops and restaurants. I enjoyed my stay in 2017 and would recommend this amazing hotel to anyone that are visiting Karlovy Vary. I think the price is fantastic for what you getting.

Very nice and comfortable dining (breakfast) room. We were with a tour group of 45 people but still very nice breakfast buffet. Lots of fresh varieties and fresh pancake. Our bedroom was a bit on the small side with a over size bathroom and the long front ‘hallway’ inside our room, which i think are out of proportion. Thats why i took 1 star off. But i know they have different layouts for different room. Walk over to the other side of the river you will get a panoramic view of the hotel. This hotel situated in a nice tourist area with a lot of souvenirs shops.

Cleanness is poor and disgusting ! Service sloppy in the breakfast area. Robes provide was dirty and bugs on my sheets! Will not come back !

The hotel is beautiful, historic, the team is professional, the food was great, but the air conditioner did not work well! For a 5 star hotel the room was too warm to sleep. They knew about the problem and had fans ready and brought us few (2 rooms) and with open windows it improved but still we did not sleep well and because the blinds were left open I was up real early. The staff was very apologetic about the problem but this was the best they could do. I would say the hotel losses allot on this point, if the team was not so polite and professional, great food, amazing view, historic setting I would rated even less (I need a good night sleep).
However as the days progressed the staff were amazing, the food was great, and the treatment at the spa was on time and great.
If they can correct AC issue I would rate the experience as a 5 (it might be a combination issue of the AC and I'm assuming the mattress is a memory and it is retaining heat?)response / report this review -

All guide books said that they let non guests use their spa for a fee. But when we asked, they basically said no.

Came here to play at the casino. Hassle to set up and you can't draw chips with credit. Also passport required. So many hoops to spend money.

I don't know how all room are arranged, but the room we have facing the mountain most certainly does not qualify in any way as a room in a five star hotel! Can't believe I brought my wife to this place for new years. If you book you better make real sure that you face to the front the rooms on the back are not only dated but not adequate for a 5 star hotel.
