We went for a meal on Friday evening. Lovely location, excellent feel to the place.
However.
No beer so I had red wine.
Was hoping to eat traditional Czech meal.
Ordered duck.
No duck.
Ordered pork knuckle.
No pork knuckle.
Ordered salmon.
No salmon.
Ordered beef which came and was ok.
Waiter was very embarrassed would have been easier to start with stating what was off the menu.
We were too tired to go anywhere else.
Nice hotel with friendly staff. Really close to Charles Bridge. Good breakfast too. You can also do currency exchange there instead of getting rip off by the scammy currency exchange all over Prague.
I was fully prepared to give this review 5 stars until it was time for me to leave. When I went to catch my car to the airport at 6am, the front door to the hotel was locked, I found myself locked inside the building. I looked for another way out, there wasn't, just then the front desk agent came from upstairs and unlocked the front door then demanded more money out of me. I found this to be of serious concern, what if there had been a fire or an emergency, this man had us all locked inside the building and he had the key.
Great stay in the city center you just open the door and are already exploring!
Awesome location, just 200 feet away from the Charles Bridge! Wonderful and large, suite-like room that fitted the four of easily. Super-friendly staff and very good breakfast.
Excellent location, beautiful view from room's window, friendly staff, very good price and good food.
One of the few hotels that I would rate five stars. Clean, beautiful interior, comfortable bedding, view of Charles Bridge and the river, good breakfast, convenient location but not in the awfully crowded and noisy Old Town district. Well trained customer service unlike most other parts of the city. Worth the bucks if you're not on a tight budget. Highly recommended.
From February 27 to March 2 we have stayed at the Hotel Archibald at the Charles Bridge. This is a very nice hotel. With beautiful, quiet and clean rooms. Breakfast is extensive and well cared. Situated in a beautiful setting, right on the famous "Charles Bridge". Staff is very friendly and helpful. Our thanks goes to the desk attendant Jan. Very friendly and always up for a friendly conversation. And also a good and helpful photographer. ;)
What a Lovely hotel, situated in the best part of the city IMO as it's in the quieter yet more spectacular area under the shadow of Prague castle and right next to Charles bridge, if you like a night out though with just a 5 minute walk over the bridge you can find plenty of pubs and restaurants, which gives you the best of both worlds.
We found the staff to be polite and helpful and the room was quite large for a double, could have easily held a family of four. Inclusive buffet breakfast was spot on, not the usual minimal offerings, there was plenty of choice being brought out all morning.
All in all a great find, would not hesitate to stay again.
Very good hotel. Placed in great spot, near Charles Bridge. In the middle between old Town and Charles castle 🏰.
Serves is great and so is the room. Breakfast is very good. Very recommended
Excellent location to explore Prague.
The rooms are very clean & a nice size, featuring bathroom with shower only (in our room), mini bar, TV etc. We had a double room & the bed was two single beds connected together (not unusual). The hotel has a single breakfast\dinning room with bar in the cellar which had a nice log burner going on the evenings. This is a small hotel with only 39 rooms (all non smoking) & as you would expect in a small hotel the staff were welcoming & very friendly.
The location of the hotel is excellent to explore Prague, it's located on the Castle side approximately 100m from the Charles Bridge & back to back with the river Vitava. While it's very close to the bridge & attractions we found the hotel area to be very quite on an evening.
