The World Photo School was created by husband and wife Photojournalists and London School of Photography trainers Alex Mita and Luciana Franzolin with the dream of bringing professional Photography and Photojournalism Workshops to aspiring photographers around the world.
With 10 years combined experience in developing and delivering photography workshops at one of London’s most prestigious Photography Schools and inspired by Photography legend Henri Cartier-Bresson, who once said: “Photography doesn’t need any brains, all it takes is sensitivity, a finger and two legs”, the short workshops were designed to offer affordable training aimed at complete beginners on how to gain control of their camera settings, and discover the joys of shooting without having to rely on Auto mode.
The world tour kicked off in Brazil, in October 2012, where it was a huge success. Next stop is Alex’s homeland, the beautiful island of Cyprus, where moments literally jump out at you if you only take the time to look.
Whether you want to be a street, portrait, wildlife or news photographer, the island’s scenery and the Cypriots’ reputation of hospitality and general lack of camera shyness makes Cyprus a great starting point for anyone looking to document beautiful architecture, capture great moments and shoot incredible portraits.
