Great place with a massive range of beer, ran by a knowledgeable owner Athos and his sidekick Dan. (Local beer is available on cask, but I'd recommend his Greek imports for something different!)
Also has a menagerie of cats to keep visitors company!

    Sometimes I don't want a Keo.
This place has beers from all over the world, which seems a rarity in pathos.
The owner has a genuine love of beer and the knowledge too.
As well as the huge range of world beers you can find a selection of home made ciders.
Free black pudding and potatoes on a Sunday!

Wasn't overly impressed with their homemade flavoured ciders. Found them somewhat lacking

It always amazes me that there are people in this world who just don't care, they are rude obnoxious individuals who sit like keyboard warriors behind the screen and deliberately try to hurt another with lie after lie. I have been to the Fishing Shack many times and always found the service and ambiance perfect.

Of course the price is going to be slightly more, but you can get cheap watered down lager any where you want in Paphos for 2 euros +. When you visit a pub like the shack, you get the best, yes people are going to make mistakes, but don't we all, were all human, (well mostly) being rude and fabricating a tale inspired by another pub or outlet to damage there trade is disgusting.

Athos the owner, has always been more than helpful, abundant in charm and friendliness and the Fishing Shack a sanctuary of tranquility and peace and long may it remain so, i would ask anyone who maybe prodded into writing fake reviews on this site or another, after being plied with varied amounts of cheap lager by other hostelries, think twice, you could be deeply upsetting and hurting another human being.

If you have a problem, talk to the owner and if that fails to appease you, then come on here and write, but please do so with honesty. If your another business, then do better, by being better, do it off your own hard work and dedication, not by skulduggery and deception.

This pub contains more real ale than your ever going to see anywhere on the island, it contains home made ciders and more so an opportunity to just sit in peace and enjoy the moment.

Definitely a place to seek out if your missing a good pint of ale. I went for the draught ales which were a locally brewed 3.8 per cent in a best bitter style. Also tried the 5 per cent ESB. Both good. Athos the landlord was a good chap and passionate about beer. Makes a welcome change from the local lager.

Well we went to see the best reviewed pub.
    Well where do we start.
Coke was warm no room in the fridge!!!
Jaipur full of bits so I changed this for an out of date Punk IPA.
The bar assistant couldn't work out how much the round was.
It stunk inside so we sat outside and no fans switched on .
    What a surprise.
I'd advise going to the First & Last over the road.
Air conditioned, cleaner, friendly staff and cheaper.

Fantastic range of beers, and a menu from which you can choose your selection from. Ask the owner (Athos), and he will explain the beers to you in detail, he is very passionate in his work, even going so far as to taste every beer before he orders them into his establishment. It has a very chilled out atmosphere, well worth a look.

Huge choice of interesting and very tasty beer. I loved the beer "menu" where a description of each beer can be studied! Friendly and very knowledgeable owner. Tell him the type of beer you feel like and he'll happily suggest then for you.

Owner Athos is a knowledgeable and passionate beer enthusiast, as is evidenced by the pub's selection of three hundred beers from eight countries.

Nice and calm place with a great variety of beer and delicious homemade cider (everyone should taste it).
It would be great if it would be opened earlier, so one could have a rest with a glass of ginger cider after lunch.
